“I devoured this book in one sitting - literally, I stayed up reading until 6am! Brit Benson’s writing is captivating from the start. She has a gift for humanizing her characters, and Claire’s story is no exception - though I know how we all initially felt beforehand. IYKYK.
As someone who’s recently experienced loss due to addiction, I was hesitant to dive in, but Brit Benson’s thoughtful approach helped me heal in unexpected ways. I’m really glad this book came to me in a time when I needed it most… The book’s emotional intelligence and message of self-forgiveness & overcoming trauma’s to heal and become the best versions of ourselves resonated deeply.
I also loved the powerful lesson on standing up for ourselves and the way the story balanced plot and spice. 🥵
